New Al Pastor Contender in Woodside

There's a new Mexican rotisserie chicken place on Roosevelt near 64th St called Koko Rico that replaced a short-lived Argentine pizza and steak joint that served some pretty decent empanadas. I haven't tried the chicken yet, but it looks like they're experimenting with a street-side taco counter. They have a proper al pastor spit going, as well as the round cauldron of simmering meat (I forget what that thing is called). The al pastor is quite good. I'm not sure if the taco counter is going to here to stay, but it's a welcome addition to the area. Especially if they keep the al pastor.

Now you all have another place to stop before (or after) heading to Sripraphai. By the way, I've overheard some of you hounds (I'm assuming you're hounds) talking about getting a taco at the taco truck parked across the street from Sripraphai. That truck sucks. There's another option now without having to walk to Jackson Heights.
