Advice on Waring Pro Meat Grinder

I recently purchased the Waring Pro Meat Grinder and Sausage maker. Many recipes call for grinding meat, letting it sit and then stuffing sausages. When putting the already ground meat through to stuff sausage casings can I take the cutting blade and ring out altogether so that I am not regrinding my meat?
