Whenever I go to Addis these days I always get kitfo (the raw beef dish), the lamb tripe & liver dish (dulet), and the collard greens (gomen wot). This is a very nice combination, but whenever I've gotten anything not on this list it has been a disappointment - especially the other vegetable dishes, which all seem quite bland. Can anyone recommend anything else tasty?
While we're talking Ethiopian, does anyone know if Fasika in JP has closed down for good? It's been shut the last few times I walked by. Also has anyone been to Asmara recently? I used to go there years ago, but stopped when I realized the now defunct Ethiopian Restaurant (yes that was its name) across the street was much much better. Still I always liked having eclairs after Ethiopian food, not an option at Addis.
