They were good, but not fabulous IMHO. But I did love the texture the oats added.
I made this Cooks Illustrated chocolate chip cookie recipe:
This recipe uses browned butter and more brown than white sugar and the caramel flavor of the cookies is fabulous. But I want a bit more texture.
I'd like to add some oats to the Cooks Illustrated recipe. Do you think I should simply add oats to the recipe without making any other changes, or should I use less flour if I add oats?
