Since I was in the neighborhood(getting a new health card) I decided to check out Adamson Texas style BBQ.
I heard that the sell out early, usually around 1pm, I got there at about 10:45(the open at 11am). The door was open but they weren't quite ready, but were very friendly about my over exuberance and said I could wait inside until they were ready. Nice clean, industrial looking space with plenty of room and picnic table seating. I got the combo platter, brisket, sausage and ribs(1 rib) w/ 2 sides baked beans and coleslaw with a Big Red soda to wash it down. Total came to $24.00 even. Meat portions were a bit on the small side(we ain't in Texas). The brisket was real good(good smoke, moist and fatty), sausage tasty(interesting), the ribs decent(under seasoned). I'm no BBQ expert, but from what I understand, Texas Q comes un- sauced w/ sauce on the side. The beans were tasty and a good portion, could have used a shot of their BBQ sauce. The coleslaw, on the other hand, was underwhelming. For me, coleslaw needs to be marinated for at least over night in whatever dressing(creamy or oil and vinegar) but that's just my personal take.
The service was fast and friendly and it's only a short drive from my house so I'll defiantly go back. They have some recipe tweaking to do in my opinion, but all in all it was worth the(short) drive :D
