Absinthe burger

After reading all the burger discussion yesterday I was in the mood for a burger. I lucked out since my husband was entertaining an out of towner on business, and happened to get to go to Absinthe last night. Now, I know fabulous burgers can be had at cheaper places (I happen to really dig In an' Out burgers too), but for the burger fans out there I highly recommend parting with a little extra cash and trying a burger at Absinthe. Also, their cocktails are awesome if you're into that (I had a Sazerac there and when I looked up the drink later in an old 1940s edition of New Orleans Cocktails, I realized the bartender had made the drink exactly the way it was described, including some involved steps that I'm sure don't usually get done for this classic cocktail). Anyway, they automatically ask you if you'd like it medium rare. It comes out to you perfectly medium rare, juicy and flavorful. You get a choice of gruyere or gorgonzola, and I always go with the gruyere. The herb bun goes so well with the meat and there's some crisp romaine and sauteed onions as well. They bring you a condiment tray with ketchup, homemade mayo, and hot mustard. I LOVE this burger! It's not on the regular menu, so just ask for it when you order. I'm interested in what you chowhounds think of this burger!
