Ok fellow hounds...what gives please. I went to A&L last night for what i was hoping would be a great steak experience...blah. Onion soup was fair, not all the cheese was melted, soup a little salty. Ordered a Porterhouse Med-Rare and it came out raw...sent it back and it came out med-well at the edges and Black & Blue at the center. Told the waiter I'll take any cut of steak that the chef thought he could cook properly. Third try w a sirloin came out OK. Taste was nothing special and texture the same. The portabello demi glas sauce was a bad franco american mushroom gravy and embarassing. For these prices and reputation I would expect close to perfection. Any comments?
