In previous posts I've highlighted some engaging selections from my local 99 cents only store, including a tangy Malbec from Argentina, a bold pinot blanc from Sonoma and a robust red earth Shiraz from Australia.
My pick for the 99 cents only store wine of this week is Pretty Smith 1990 Fume Blanc Paso Robles. Delicate and light, slightly sweet melon-like fruit flavors, neutral aroma. Pairs well with goat cheeses, sauteed halibut with mango or other fruit salsas, and strawberry cheesecake or shortcake.
Unfortunately, in very short supply at time this is posted.
