On Valentines day we went to The Sunset Tower Bar and, while waiting for our table, ordered champagne. The service was unbearably slow so when the waiter finally arrived we didn't ask for a wine list. He rattled off a few champagnes by the glass and my husband chose the Krug.
We knew it would be expensive but when we got the bill we discovered that they charged $75 dollars per glass. I'd like to know others thoughts on this. Krug is a very expensive champage (some bottles are over $3000) but something doesn't feel right about what we were charged. We've had champagne at hotel bars around the world and have never been charged more than $35 dollars (even in Cannes).
