Hey guys, I'm coming to NYC in about a week and working on a budget, with my only $$ meals being at Babbo and Momofuku Ssam Bar. I've made a bit of an outline and would lovelovelove your thoughts or suggestions!!
Lunch at the Chicken n rice cart, hitting up the MOMA, then
Dinner at the Burger Joint or Cafe Habana
First meal of lobster rolls at the Brooklyn Flea, maybe stop off for some DiFara's before we head off to Brighton Beach for some Russian food for lunch (my DC is Russian and this is a must-stop!)
Then, off to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and was thinking Caracas/Crif Dogs for dinner - really looking for any suggestions this night!
Breakfast at Katz for pastrami then a stop at Russ & Daughters for some smoked fish.
Checking out Grand Central and stopping off at the Oyster bar for some oysters, and some oyster po boys or other sandwiches.
Dinner at Momofuku Ssam Bar.
Starting off at Patsy's, then going up North for the Cloisters, back down for the Museum of Natural History - maybe going to Amy Ruth's.
No plans for dinner!
Shopsins then after a tour of Ellis Island going to Margon,
Eventually Babbo for dinner. I'm thinking of passing up on the tasting menus to indulge in offal. I'm thinking the tripe, lambs tongue, lamb brain ravioli, sweetbreads, unless the tasting menus are really that good...
Zabars to try their lox/bagel special, then Ippudo for lunch. Nothing planned for dinner but will probably be in SoHo or LES for shopping... suggestions?
Then gone Friday early afternoon!
HELP! I'm looking for more affordable choices and not-to-miss. I've been searching the boards but would love more reccs. Oops, I'm here for less than 7 days...
