50 Fremont Farmers Market (SF)

Ruth Lafler | May 9, 2011 04:03 PM

This was the fourth week of the new Monday afternoon (noon to 5:30) farmers market in the 50 Fremont Plaza (which actually faces First just south of Market). It's still very much in a start-up phase (and I'm not sure how much bigger it can get), but it's very convenient. So far, there's one organic general produce vendor, one conventional general produce vendor, and several seasonal fruit vendors (at least five vendors had cherries today).

Other vendors include:

Bakery (Bread Project: http://www.breadproject.org/)
Homemade Pasta (with a stupid, un-Googleable name!)
A guy with organic, lard-free Nactetamales
A hummus guy
Kettle Corn
Sukhis (although I don't remember seeing them today)
Tofu Yu (http://www.tofuyu.com/index.html)
