I-5 Challenge entry

Doc | Jan 8, 200302:06 PM

In a humble contribution to the I-5 challenge, I took a short detour on my recent road trip south to check out Patterson, which is a small town east of the I-5 and south of the I-580 cut-off. Blue's Cafe is a good place to get a jolt of fine coffee for the drive, and they have nice fresh cinnamon rolls and Mexican pan dulce. I wasn't hungry for much else than coffee and a roll, but looks like they have a decent, affordable and fresh lunch menu. The address is listed as 30 Del Puerto Ave. (209)892-5282. Del Puerto is about the 4th stoplight from the freeway, make a left (north). In the vast wasteland of the I-5 valley, this was at least a great alternative to the usual coffee (toxic waste) at the Shell station, for all of us who need the fix to ensure the safety of fellow drivers and passengers on our way somewhere.
