I've almost completed my itinerary for Easter weekend in Venice (I know, I know...but you travel when you can) and I'm hoping to get some feedback. My kids are adventurous eaters but elementary age, so we are booking early dinners and not going too fancy. We are staying near San Zaccaria and one of our party is allergic to shrimp, though it isn't severe. I'm stuck on where to eat Friday night as we will all be tired from the flight and will probably be carrying the kids back to the hotel.
Friday, April 19
Lunch (Corner Pub by the Guggenheim?)
Snack at Gelateria Nico
Campo San Barnaba--buy fruit from a barge
DINNER ??? (Osteria Alle Testiere is unavailable)
Saturday, April 20
Breakfast at Pasticceria Chiusso
Snack at Caffe del Doge
Lunch at Antiche Carampane (booked)
Snack at La Mela
Cichetti crawl in Canareggio
Dinner at Ristorante La Cantina
Sunday April 21:
Breakfast ??? Maybe Cafe Lavena on St. Mark's
Lunch at Luna Sentada (booked)
Is there any must-eat that I've missed? And any recommendations for takeaway or groceries that we can eat on the train to Rome? I assume that we will need to do our shopping on Saturday.
Thanks so much! I'll post a follow up when we get home.
