Could you all help me figure out 4 nights' (Thurs-Sun) worth of dinners in Manhattan? I'm a former New Yorker looking to check out some of the newish places that have opened since I left. I love restaurants that serve foodie-friendly food in casual, not-too-fussy settings. ABC Kitchen and the Carmellini restaurants were my go-tos when I lived here, and I also have a sentimental attachment to Lupa. On my last visit, I enjoyed Estela, Cata, and Charlie Bird quite a bit, but I don't absolutely need to return to them this visit.
Thursday (party of 4)
Friday (party of 6)
Saturday (party of 6)
Rebelle (I loved Spring in Paris)
Huertas or Tertulia or ABC Cocina
Bar Bolonat or Balaboosta (I loved Taim back in the day, but I've never tried her restaurants)
Sunday (party of 5): Thought I should keep this simple and in/near the UWS, since our friends are all working the next day & might be fatigued/poor from eating with us.
The Leopard -BYOB Sunday Supper?
Bar Boulud - Old favorite
Telepan - Never managed to make it here in my 10 years in the city
I'm concerned about repetition. Would Wallflower and Rebelle be too similar? Piora and The Leopard?
Anyway, I'd appreciate any feedback/opinions and recommendations!
