Had lunch here again with my parents on Thursday. Taped on the front edge of the counter is a piece of lined notebook type paper sign handwritten with 5 Chinese characters and $3.75. My dad said it was calamari tentacles prepped salt and pepper style. (The dish on the printed menu, presumably with the bodies and maybe some tentacles is around $6.)
We ordered this as an appetizer and got a heaping plate of delicious squid legs. These were lightly dusted and fried until just tender and a little chewy on the ends of the tentacles. The salt and pepper seasoning was intense, boosted with garlic, jalapenos, and garlic.
Quite a bargain for $3.75.
