We're installing a Miele 30" induction cooktop. I'm baffled (no pun intended :-) ) by all the hoods on the market, conflicting reviews, or lack of reviews (and the high prices!).
I wouldn't mind paying for something that will do the job well, look good (at least relatively low-profile), and be as quiet as possible. I would HATE to pay a LOT of money, and then be disappointed with functionality or noise.
The 36"x24" Miele island model looks great, and dealer promises it will work well. It's $3K. Anyone got one of these to report how well it works over a 30" range?
I really like the 40" Miele DA 403.. .the filters go right to the edge (front-and-back) and it's deeper at almost 28" and so will give more coverage than the 24" above, so I really like this, but it's $3500.
(I don't suppose there's any way to get a deal on Miele's, huh?) Anyone got one of these and care to report on it?
Then I see the RangeHoodStore 36" GL2 hood which looks fairly good, but I'm not crazy about the little filter handles that hang down, and I guess I'm skeptical of the low $795 price???
>>Did more research and apparently these are ProLine Hoods (from ProLineRangeHoods.com ). Anyone have comments on these?... they seem to have a lot of positive testamonials on their website (and they seem genuine).
I've looked at LOTs of other brands, and have seen no consensus on function/performance or quietness.
Anyone got a 36-40" island hood they really like and would recommend?
