I was treated to a business lunch yesterday at A Voce. Our waiter was of the eye-rolling, tsk-tsking variety who took it as a personal insult that we requested tap water over sparkling. I ordered the scallops. The plate arrived with four, nicely seared pieces over some grilled vegetables in a large, faintly flavored green sauce. Good? Yes. $34 good? Not even close. I'm glad I wasn't paying.
