Restaurants & Bars 8

3 nights?

We moved to the burbs almost 9 years ago and although we are only 20 minutes away, my husband and I are completely out of the loop on the restaurant scene. We have decided for the 2cd year in a row to spend 3 childless nights back in NYC. Last year we ate at Scarpetta, Ippudo, and DBGB and loved them all. This year we are looking for similar type restaurants in that we dont want any fancy 5 stars. We have been there and done that 100 times. Just looking for great food and a great NyC vibe. We are coming in next week and staying at the Bowery Hotel but will travel anywhere in the city. So far, my investigating has led me to Locanda Verde, Minetta Tavern
and Degustation. I have gotten horrible reservation times at each and was looking for some back up suggestions. So, if you were a NYC lover in early 40's with 3 nights to eat out where you you eat? Many thanks!
