3 Days and a Ton of Food!

Got into the Quarter on Fri. and immediately went over to Felix's for oysters and Abita. Then to Central Grocery to split a muffaletta.

Dinner that night was at K-Pauls. Fried Green Tomatoes and shrimp remoulade. Some sort of fish with sauce that did not impress and delicious coconut cake.

Saturday morning Pain Perdu at Petunias. Wonderful!

Dinner at the Upperline. The duck and andouille gumbo was just sooooooo good, as were the oysters St. Claude. Duck with ginger peach sauce was delicious but the bread pudding was just okay.

Sunday we took the streetcar to Camillia Grill for omelettes. If I wasn't sure both the cholesterol and hip size would go up I'd eat breakfast there every day. The woman next to us asked for very crisp bacon. When she sent it back saying it still wasn't crisp enough, they said "We'll crisp it up for ya" and tossed it into the deep fryer.

Sunday night was dinner at Mr. B's. The bar-b-q shrimp was delicious and the Honey Bee dessert excellent.

Thanks to all of you for your posts and suggestions- it was a wonderful trip!
