3 Caribbean Restaurants in one stop

If you are in the mood for some cheap, but good Caribbean food then you need to head south, way south of Miami on US1 & then make a right on SW 160th street & then turn immediately into a small retail strip on your right, but don't blink as you may pass it.

Once there you will find Caribbean Delite which is a small restaurant with owners from Trinidad. There is one table with four chairs so you probably will need to take the food to go. Their specialty are roti dishes which are flatbreads (similar to chappati) stuffed with your choice of goat, chicken, shrimp, chickpeas, etc. What I enjoyed about their roti was that it was moist & not dry like others I have tried. I even liked it better than Christine's roti shop.

Moving on next door we grabbed some Jamaican patties at Marie's which had a line out the door, you can only take out here. The patties were not as stuffed as I have had in the past, but still good for the price.

Finally, we moved onto to Sango Jamaican cuisine which does have a few tables so this is where we would have our roti, patties & jerk chicken. Sango is interesting as it also serves Chinese which is common in Jamaica, but the sticking point is that Chinese is only served until 7PM, yes the chef specializing in the Chinese food leaves at that point. We tried their jerk chicken of which it was succulent, tender & spicy, but not spicy where you lose the flavor.

Enjoy, here are the addresses:
