I have foiund two fantastic new restaurants that are in need of help, they have both oppened here in the last 4 months, and everytime I go, they are both almost empty! How sad? I hate to see great new restaurants, doing what they do best, and not getting the clientel.
The first is Mikimoto on South Carrollton right before I-10. It is fantastic Sushi and Japanese food. They do not overcharge, and when my car was dead, they even deliverd with the hot food hot and the cold food cold. I am impressed every time I eat there. The rainbow rolls and the tempura bannanas are my personal favorites.
Second is Patrick on the 400 block of Camp. Patrick is a Tapas bar with an exensive martini menu (a sure way to get me). Everything they do is excellent. I was there last night, and very very very impressed. The tornados of beef were delicious (if a bit heavey on the hollandaise), the barbecue shrimp were perfect, the marinated specials were yummy, and the panned veal was cooked to perfection.
Please, check out these restaurants, don't let the good food die.
