2 dinners in Tokyo, please advise

guzelsu | Apr 6, 201702:04 PM     18

Hello happy Chowhound community . . looking for 2 recommendations. We are on business travel and have 2 dinners in Tokyo. We are staying at the Hotel Okura so preferably within a 20-30 minute commute from the hotel.

I would like a good izakaya experience. I went to Blossom in Kyoto and it blew my mind. And they didn't speak English but the food and communal atmosphere was amazing to overcome language barriers. Something similar would be lovely.

Also, just because we are in Tokyo . . . I'm looking for the best tuna sashimi recommendation with a lovely atmosphere -- would love something modern and fun with really good cocktails.

Thank you and will provide reviews back to the community.

Cheers,
OG
