2 places i rarely see mentioned here but i enjoy;

1) los Primos Cantina . Corner of 17th and Irvine , Costa Mesa
Location typical Orange county in a smallish strip mall.
( Across from Le Cave , Promelis and the Ralphs )
Meats and quantities always good.
I usually have the especial burrito with carnitas and black beans
( Way better than the burrito i had the other night from El Tarasco )

2) Super Corokke . Costa Mesa
They are on Paularino in front of the Mitsuwa market. If you have ever
parked at Mitsuwa you have seen their logo on the back of the strip mall in front)
Basically what would be potato croquets but with different fillings.
squid/spinach/meat etc etc. Lunch special very reasonable <$5 . Ask for Brown rice
instead of the white, if you want . Each table has the largest/diverse
set of condiments that i have seen at any sort of fast food place,
