1st time in NYC (long)

Will be in NYC for some post Christmas shopping. Will be arriving on the 30th and leaving on the 31st. We have reservations for lunch at Asiate, dinner at Le Bernardin and lunch at Per Se.

I couldn't find a lot of info about lunch at Per Se. Is the menu exactly the same as dinner? How about the prices? I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area and have already been to the French Laundry; so, foodwise it will be great to be able to compare the 2.

Also, at Le Bernardin, I heard the red snapper baked in salt is really good. Anybody had this dish recently?

Unfortunately we will not have time to go to Katz or Grimaldi's or Lombardi's. We will be staying and shopping in midtown and perhaps Soho. Please give me recs for good Jewish delis or pizzeria places within the central shopping scene of those 2 areas for snacks. I'm geographically challenged (i.e. not sure what lower east side means) so if possible please be specific with the locations.

Last question, I want to check out one trendy, celebrity-sighting, people-wathing place just for the experience. Will only have 1-2 drinks so food is not an issue. I would like a place that is visually stunning. I heard a lot about Tao, mostly negative about the food. Are there any other similar places that are less annoying?

Thanks!
