I'm visiting my friend, a grad student at USC, and this is my first time to LA. I know nothing about this town and I need some chow help. I'm coming from NYC, so if there is something really great/unusual/native to LA, I would love to try that. Mexican is something we in NYC always compare to what you can only get in LA, so that would be a top choice.
The budget: Cheap, but good, eats. She is in school and I'm pretty poor, but we both love good food.
We were also thinking of taking a drive to Santa Barbara County, too.
Basically, we need sugesstions for everything, since she hasn't really explored LA that much either.
Is Pink's worth it?
Any good diners/breakfast foods?
Hit me with all you got!
