Just wanted to put in my .02 about this place in the old Seaboard warehouses they're renuvating near Peace College in DT Raleigh. This is a very cool place and I highly recommend it. Fun urban ambiance but extremely laid back and comfortable. The food is best described as comfort food dressed up. The chef there, Jason Smith, has been w/ Gramercy Tavern in NY and Peninsula Grill in Charleston. This places focuses on local seafood, with some fun and interesting twists. For an apetizer, we tried a shrimp and watermelon skewer that was accompanied by gazpacho. Very good. I also tried the Carolina Gulf Stream Wahoo w/ an orange saffron vinaigrette. The sharp cheddar grits were among the best I've ever tasted, and the buttermilk pie there was amazing. Service was extremely attentive, and my wife and I left very pleased.
