Just got back from NO.

Well, I got back from NO on Sunday. The following is based on a 5 star rating:

Mr. B¡¦s- Parmesan Encrusted Red Fish ****

Tujague¡¦s- Baked Trout ***

Mother¡¦s ***** Shared with wife 2 dishes- Ferdi Po Boy and Seafood dinner. The food and the staff were the best we experienced this trip. Well worth the wait in the long line.

Acme for raw oysters 2 times *** Oysters were good both times. I was seated at the bar in a corner by the door on second time. This was most uncomfortable, as the door kept hitting me in the back, and I got hit in the face with flying ice and oyster juice from the shucker. The server felt bad for my position and gave us extra oysters, so I¡¦m not complaining that much.

Desire Oyster Bar **** Oysters were okay, but the presentation and atmosphere were great.

Crescent City Brew House ****Best French Bread (or is it Freedom Bread? ƒº) I¡¦ve ever had. Food and staff were really good.

Napoleon House *** Had muffs that were served warm. Couldn¡¦t hold a candle to Central Grocery¡¦s muffs.

Overall, we had a great experience. The St. Patty¡¦s parade was awesome. I got to spend a lot of time with my favorite trumpeter, Jamil Sharif. The Final Four was going on, so it was pretty crowded. We¡¦re already looking forward to our next trip there. I now must concentrate on losing the 5-10 lbs. that I gained while there.
