My wife and I had a $75 gift certificate to the old BBWolf, and after calling the restaurant and establishing that it was still valid, went on a non-baseball game evening.
The place was full of 20 somethings eating burgers and fries-the burgers looked great-the fries looked great.
We ordered top of the line lobster and an 8oz. piece of prime rib as well as marinated sirloin tips and ribs-so called "specialties of the house".
The lobster came back red and WHITE, with a burn mark on the claw-the tail section smelled very fishy-my wife wouldn't eat it. The prime rib was overly seasoned-you couldn't taste the beef. My tips were standard marinated tips-nothing special, and I was positive that the BBQ ribs were par-boiled first, then grilled and sauce added. Only the green beans and baked potato were cooked anything close to standard.
The signature margueritas all differ with the choice of a particular brand of Tequila-so know your booze.
How can you call yourself a restaurant in Boston and ruin a lobster?
Do not order anything here except maybe the burgers-and even then they are a buck or too more expensive than usual.
