Next Thursday I will be going to BAM, and want to get some dinner afterwards. The show ends at 10:30 they say, so my sense is that going to places that close at 11 is probably not the best thing. If places that list an 11pm closing time don't mind us getting there at 10:45, then great, please recommend those as well, but I'm just assuming that those places are out. We are taking the subway back (from the Fulton St. stop) after what I'm sure will have been a long day of walking all around, so we really don't want to walk more than 4 or 5 blocks.
I've looked at tons of the near-BAM threads from the past couple years and still haven't come to any decision. It seems like Cafe Lafayette is a decent enough spot, but I am worried that everyone else will get there before us and we will have to wait a long time for a seat. (We are in the third row, so I have a feeling that a lot of the theatregoers will manage to get out of BAM ahead of us.) Thomas Beisl seems generally hated upon by the board, with a few dissenters. Stonehome seems favorably looked upon. We don't want Italian, since we're having it for dinner the next night.
What is a good bet for something very close by that is open that late? Pretty much any cuisine is fair game, we'd like to not spend a ton but mid-range places are just fine. Thanks in advance!
