I'm searching for a ~$100 induction burner that can evenly heat a 12.5" frying pan with an approximately 10" base. Most of the options I've found have ~8" coils, so they would produce a hotspot in the center of the pan. Does anyone know of a induction burner around my price range that would evenly heat my pan?
TL;DR- I have a 12.5" Demeyere frying pan that I'm currently using on a coil stove with frustratingly uneven results. The pan performed wonderfully on my previous glass top range with large burners. The current burners are just too small to heat the pan evenly and are not particularly level. Upgrading the stove isn't an option, so I'm looking at induction.
The only options I've found that seem big enough are ~$500. I haven't used induction before, but I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a better priced solution.
