We've been twice in 3 days now! Comfortable homey room, Afghani owner run, very friendly enjoyable service. Menu is limited but food is excellent with some unique tastes. This is pretty simple cooking; not at all spicy, and not containing a broad palate of herbs or spices. Very user friendly for unadventurous tastes.
Combo plate of Lamb and chicken kabobs w/ browned basmati rice pilaf, Meat is NOT plain; it has been marinated and cooked over a real fire, and is very moist and flavorful.
'Pumpkin' (really kabocha/ buttercup squash) with tomato, herbs and spices, napped w/ sour cream (this dish is much more flavorful than the eggplant version of the same.)
House 'naan'; really like a baguette that's pancake-thin
The meat ravioli w/ tomato/mint and sour cream sauces- are surely unique to afghani cooking. They taste just fine but are a bit boring after awhile.
Generous portions and lovely owner/server make for a great experience.
