In the 70s when it was called 596 Club, this current-day karaoke bar in Hell’s Kitchen was the headquarters for Irish gang Westies and its leader Jimmy Coonan. Along with tales of severed body parts in jars behind the bar, it’s rumored to be the scene of many violent murders, including that of loan shark Ruby Stein. He was said to be dismembered in the bathroom and later found in the East River.
