Don’t Rule Out LA When It Comes to Great Beer

If you were to choose a single brewery that represents Los Angeles right now, it’s Highland Park. Operating out of a former brothel turned hipster bar located on trendy York Boulevard, HPB recently expanded to the equally hot Chinatown, opening up a snazzy new brewpub which offers wines on tap and $6 bread and butter. As for the beers, well, they’re phenomenal. Whether it’s IPAs, saisons or stouts, head brewer Bob Kunz can do no wrong. Also, that bread and butter —more specifically, Bub & Grandma’s focaccia and Beurre de Baratte—totally worth it.
