If you want to drink cocktails instead (or in addition to!) beer, it's much easier to make a big batch of them for the whole tailgating party. Bring it in a giant jar, pitcher or thermos — don't forget the cups or ice. There are sorts of punch drinks you can make, from tropical to "beertails," cocktails that use beer. Here's an example of the latter style of batch beverages: The Gridiron Punch. It uses yellow chartreuse, an old-school French liqueur that usually comes in green or yellow. Made by monks for centuries, it's almost as strong as liquor: It's 80 proof. With some amber ale and pineapple juice, you can enjoy an easy, yet storied punch at your next tailgate or football-watching shindig.
