CHOW Tour Portland: Land of the Food Cart

Portland’s food carts are famous, and offer overwhelming choice. If there’s something you want to eat in the city, you can find it on a cart. We visited many carts (here’s our take on a few others), but we could only film with two, so we went with a couple of carts serving food we’ve never seen anywhere else. The first, Viking Soul Food, was recommended to us by Chowhound contributor cheeseisheaven, and specializes in a Norwegian flatbread called lefse which they then fill with stuff, sorta like a Scandinavian burrito. The second, PBJ’s, makes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in unique combinations, such as bacon, cherry jam, peanut butter, and jalapeños. And the sandwiches are grilled!
