You may want to think twice before drinking loads of wine when you’re young and effortlessly mixing cocktails in your golden years, says a report published in the Daily Mail. The shakes—or an “essential tremor,” as they’re more properly known—seem to be one of the likely results of relatively heavy drinking as a young person. Daily alcohol intake equivalent to a large glass of wine, three shots of hard liquor, or one and a half pints of beer puts folks at risk of neurological damage late in life. So … keep drinking that glass of wine every day to keep your heart healthy—just don’t make it a big one. That is, of course, if this study isn’t directly contradicted by another study two years down the line.
