To learn more, we called wine writer and Texas wine expert Wes Marshall to school us about the history of winemaking in Texas, and tell us what was worth checking out. When he mentioned an iconoclastic winemaker passionately following natural winemaking methods and really trying to express Texas terroir, we knew we had to go meet this guy and see what his wine, La Cruz de Comal, was all about.
