The Dayton Daily News has an amusing report on Fortifido, the fortified, flavored bottled water for dogs. Apparently the stuff has come a long way since its initial conceptualization:

”… it wasn’t easy finding flavors that pleased both people and dogs. Researchers started out in a familiar place—chicken and beef liver. Dogs might like those flavors, but the company feared pet owners would say, ‘Eeew!’ … The company tested every flavor from mushroom to vanilla to wet log before settling on four flavors: peanut butter, parsley, lemongrass and spearmint.”

Daily News staffers, adding value to an already goofy News of the Weird story, actually taste tested the stuff:
