In one of the Scroogiest acts in recent memory, thieves in Australia stole 17.6 tons of ham and bacon from a warehouse on Monday, according to an AP article. That’s a value of $88,000.

The Zammit Ham & Bacon Curers will be toiling overtime to try to make up for the missing meat. “We’re working 24 hours a day, seven days a week and put on extra staff,” said owner Anthony Zammit. “We won’t let anyone down.”

As if the stealing weren’t bad enough, the thieves left a message behind: Scrawled on the warehouse wall was a note reading, “Thanks. Merry Christmas.”

Someone’s getting coal in his stocking this year.
