HLing is fond of the Korean frozen ice cream snack called Cornie, or Corn Monaco. It looks like a bright yellow ear of corn on the cob; inside the adorable corn-shaped cone is a thin layer of chocolate, and it’s filled with vanilla ice cream scattered with nibbly bits of Korean glutinous corn. The best thing about the Cornie is that, besides being cute and tasty, it can be eaten without the dripping mess that a slow ice cream eater always encounters. “It’s for those of us who like corn in our shaved ice,” says HLing.
