In addition to serving weekday breakfast, lunch and dinner, Cassava is a popular spot with locals for their weekend brunch and their nightly four-course tasting menu. This evolving special menu offers generous portions and is an incredible value. There is also an optional beverage pairing. Prior to opening Cassava with wife and restaurant GM Yuka Ioroi, Chef Kris Toliao's background included years cooking at Michelin-starred kitchens in both San Francisco and Japan.

This dish comes with three tender pork ribs and a seasonal vegetables - this plate above includes roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts from Half Moon Bay.

Cassava is one of the only places in San Francisco to offer a Japanese Breakfast. Theirs includes steamed Koshihikari rice with furikake, miso soup, market vegetable pickles, onsen tamago (soft-shell poached egg in dash broth) and an optional oven roasted miso marinated Chinook salmon and/or natto (fermented soy beans).

The Outer Richmond's familiarity with fog and chilly temperatures certainly makes a bowl of steaming, hot ramen a welcoming, comfort meal. Along with ramen, Miki offers izakaya-style menu items which are fantastic to share amongst friends or just enjoy solo. The karaage (Japanese fried chicken) is delicious and a favorite among many.

Welcome to Outer Richmond's Miki

At Miki, you can order ramen with the option of three various broths including tonkotsu, chicken or vegetarian. We ordered the Miso above.
