Rocker Oysterfellers, Valley Ford Hotel

I attended a party here this weekend, and I enjoyed the food so much I have to write something.

Because I was there for a party where hors d'oeuvres were brought around and a few stations of food were set up, I didn't see the menu and don't know how much of what I had is on their regular menu. I am more compelled to share this because of the quality I had with the few things I did have.

hors d'oeuvres
small pulled pork sandwiches (delicious)
duck on crostini (delicious; even just the crostini was delicious! nicely toasted, thin, and flavored with olive oil (i think)
goat cheese on toasts with a tomato salad (ok)

baked oysters with bbq sauce (ok)
baked oysters with butter and garlic (delicious, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of flavoring to not override the oysters)
raw oysters with a mignonette (standard good oysters from the area)

entrees
mac and cheese topped with dungeness crab (wonderful; not too heavy; nice combination)
lamb stew (i didn't try this but heard very good things)

During the party at dancing, they came around with little bags of french fried with aioli. They smelled heavenly but I didn't try them. I regretted this the next day.

The service was warm and very competent. All in all, from what I had, I'm looking forward to returning to try more on their menu.

I didn't find a website for them but here's one review.

Their Home page doesn't have any links on it (none that I could find) and no information.

      2. Here is their website

I've only been there once and the food was great. My relatives are locals and they recommend Rockers very highly to everyone.
