Zoni's in Lancaster

Hey all,

Just wanted to add a review from a new place we went this weekend, Zoni's. It's in west Lancaster and may seem like it would be a good place for folks to stop in for lunch.

I had a French dip sandwich with fries, hubby and a friend had the tri tip sandwich with BBQ sauce and fries. Another friend had the buffalo chicken sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their food. I particularly enjoyed my fries - they were wedge-shaped and had a bit of seasoning, and were cooked perfectly, nice a crisp and not greasy. My French dip was good but the tri-tip sandwich the guys had with the BBQ sauce was better! They had Newcastle, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Bass at least on tap. (I say "at least" because we just asked for what we wanted and got it, they may have had more selections available.)

The food was good and the waitress was nice, but they are incredibly understaffed. It took quite a while for her to get to us just for a drink order - though she did acknowledge us right away with a "I'll be with you guys soon." It looked as if she was the only waitress working the entire place for the first 15 minutes we were there!

Anyway, good food, service friendly but slow due to understaffing... I wouldn't recommend this place unless you aren't in a hurry and want to hang out in a sports bar. (i.e. the atmosphere is fairly loud, lots of TVs but not large ones, etc.) They do have a decent beer selection! Also we were there on a Friday night... It may be quieter/less crowded during the daytime.
