West Seattle Italian

We discovered a lovely little Italian joint on Alki this weekend - the Beach House Italian Cafe. I wasn't expecting much: it looked like just another good location restaurant. Instead, I had one of the better meals I've had in some time. The bruschetta was a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and garlicky. The standard-issue green salad was fantastic. Even my greens-hating boyfriend dug in excitedly. I ordered the salmon special as my entree, and expected that it would be standard with its capers, lemon, wine and garlic preparation, and was totally blown away. It was delish. In fact, I ate long past when I first felt full, and spent the rest of the night in a blissful coma. The pasta which accompanied the salmon was fine, but I didn't waste my taste buds or capacity on that. The other three with whom I dined all raved about their dishes, too. All in all, a find.
