I started a new job in Northridge and was asked to order lunch for my colleagues.
I placed the order via phone for delivery. The nice woman took my order, gave me the total, then asked if I needed change for the driver. Checking the cash that was available I told her that yes, I did need change in order to tip the delivery man and to give the till the change. She even asked and confirmed the amount of change that I needed.
The driver arrived in record time with the food order, which was correct. I'm steamed that the driver "forgot" to bring change with him - even though "BRING CHANGE FOR $40" was clearly written in large letters on the front of the invoice. So - it's not that the driver walked away with a few extra bucks in his pocket. I feel strangely ripped off that the driver didn't bring change as requested. Under normal circumstances, this wouldn't have made me so mad, but it was the attitude of the guy. I called the restaurant to complain and was met with a very lame response. Actually I was asked for the delivery address so that they could bring back my change, but guess what? No one ever showed. I don't have time to deal with this kind of customer service rip off. I don't have time to call back to follow through again.
But now, I'm going to have to call back. Just want you to know that if you order from Weiler's, expect that kind of lack of customer service.
