I know I know... it is a chain! However I had to give an A+ to them for the manager.
We went this evening and were seated at a table right under an AC vent, it was cold and uncomfortable so we told the waitress who made NO effort to help us, then to add insult to injury the AC vent was dripping condensation, after a few drops hit me on the forehead I said "enough" and we opted to move (or leave) at that point. We picked and moved to a booth in the front (we told the hostess we were moving) The service was painfully slow and inaccurate but we stuck it out... not daring to complain again. However the manager did notice we seemed unhappy and when I did voice to him I was not really pleased with my seafood combo dinner because it was very light on the clams and heavy on the bay scallops and native shrimp (only 5 fried clams on a $22 dinner?) he came over with a take out box with 10 extra clams as we were leaving at no charge!
I can honestly say that made the difference to me, most managers would shrug it off, but this was a wonderful surprise.
On an added note, my husbands sea scallop dinner was amazing, a very generous portion of perfectly fried scallops (I know this because I stole a couple off his plate) My mother in law had the maple salmon which she also said was delicious and a very generous portion of perfectly cooked center cut salmon.
