My wife and I ate at Prima last night for the first time in a couple of years, and it was incredible. I know Prima has fallen from the SF Chron's grace (I believe they used to be included regularly on the top 100), however, this is one of the three best meals we have had recently (the other two being dopo and marinus in carmel valley). The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable on wine, never hesitating on recommendations (all good).
My wife started with a panzanella (tomato/bread salad) and had a risotto with gorgonzola/pancetta, that she kept repeating, "this is amazing". I had a simple mixed lettuce salad with balsamic to start and had a "melt in your mouth" lobster ravioli, perfectly sauced.
definitely worth a visit, but pricey.
