Hard to believe that Shakopee would have such a good Thai restaurant let alone any Thai restaurant at all.

We had Pattaya seafood and Spicy Catfish from the specials board--both excellent. Owner said they are not part of a chain. It's the family's first restaurant and opened in August. Can't remember the name but it's on the old strip about 6 blocks west of Dangerfield's. We plan to go back for the $6.95 lunch specials where you get two main entrees to try (looked like always Phad Thai with another entree).

Noticed that Shakopee seems to be full of Mexican restaurants, too.
