I'll be visiting Las Vegas with my husband and another couple (all in our 30s) next month. I'd like to go to an amazing dinner (in a nice, but not-too-stuffy atmosphere). I'm willing to pay about $200 p.p with wine or wine pairings, so I've been looking at Michael Mina at the Bellagio or Aureole. I've heard amazing things about Joel Rubuchon and Alex, but both of those seem to be $300+ per person. That said, if there's a place that's miles ahead of another, I'd consider it.
To give you an idea of our tastes, some of my and my husband's favorite meals of all time have been Le Bernardin and Jean Georges in New York. I've been disappointed by Fleur de Lys in San Francisco and I absolutely love the tasting menu at Providence in Los Angeles. (I much prefer seafood over meat).
In Vegas I've been to more middle of the road places (Rao's, Craftsteak, Nobu, Tao, Mesa Grill) as we're usually there to gamble and go out, but this time I'm looking to have a nice long dinner. Can someone recommend a restaurant? It doesn't have to be the best restaurant in all of Vegas, but I certainly don't want to be disappointed for the price.
