taco sonora at la palma SF

sometimes i just want a flour tortilla. one that doesn't taste like the plastic bag it was sold in. but i hardly ever eat mission burritos. then last week i stopped by la palma wanting a snack, and noticed the taco sonora on the menu. a griddled fresh flour tortilla folded in half, stuffed with meat (i picked carnitas), cheese, beans, and pico de gallo. maybe crema. i should've written this last week when it was fresh in my head. the tortilla was crispy and browned on both sides (the bottom getting soggy later. i got it to go) and it was delicious.

unfortunately i can't remember the price, maybe $3.95 for one, about an eight inch tortilla. again, if you're craving a flour tortilla, but not a burrito or a quesadilla, i'd try the tacos sonora at la palma.
